Picture Australia

This is pretty cool: Picture Australia, the online image collection run by the National Library of Australia, is inviting Flickr users to submit photos themselves to the collection. It seems that the tags used by flickr on photos act as the perfect kind of metadata needed for the catalogue. Two groups have been set up to collect the images - People, Places and Events, and Australia Day. Good stuff!
