Just watched 5 hours of Golden Globe coverage - the red carpet and the entire ceremony. It was live which is extraordinary in Australia. Random observations:
Nicole's dress was hideous.
Peter Jackson is a genius and Lord of the Rings deserved every single award that it received.
Allison Janney is one of the world's most incredible women and should have won for Best Actress.
Jim Carey does not look good bald.
Joan Rivers is a strange, strange woman. As is Diane Keaton, who definitely did not deserve to win for 'Something's Gotta Give'.
Michael Douglas is cool. As is Danny DeVito.
Johnny Depp looks surprisingly good in an exceptionally ugly hat.
Watching the Golden Globes live and unedited is far superior to watching it three weeks later with hours and hours of it cut out!
